About AppWork

AppWork | topweaverdesigns is a software development lab where I explore how real applications are designed, built, and improved using modern frameworks and AI-assisted workflows. Projects double as experiments, case studies, and portfolio pieces.

This approach is intentionally hands-on and iterative — each project is not just built to function, but to be understood, refined, and improved over time.

This evolving process lives in the App Garden — a space for building, studying, and iterating on software systems through real-world experiments.

Founded by Marylene Sawyer, a full-stack developer and creative technologist, AppWork treats every project as a case study in architecture, system design, and developer experience. The lab experiments with modern web and mobile technologies — including React, Next.js, Node.js, Tailwind CSS, Flutter, and React Native — as well as cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, CI/CD) and e-commerce platforms like Shopify.

At AppWork, the focus is on building apps while studying systems, reflecting on workflows, and iterating for maintainable, scalable, and intelligent solutions. Each project doubles as both a functional product and a learning experiment, producing insights into software design, engineering best practices, and AI-assisted development workflows.
